In this research project, Professor Thomasen examines Canadian drone regulation and policy through the lens of feminist writings on privacy and technology, to critique the current regulatory approach to drone technology in public space.

She presented a paper entitled, Beyond Airspace Safety: Feminist Perspectives on Drone Regulation and Privacy in Public  at We Robot hosted by Yale Law School on March 31-April 1, 2017.

She also presented on this topic at Microsoft’s Corporate Headquarters in Redmond, Washington.
