Don Rodzik Family Chair in Law and Entrepreneurship
In 2021, LTEC Lab member and Windsor Law Professor Myra Tawfik was appointed as the Don Rodzik Family Chair in Law and Entrepreneurship. Through her role as chair, she is involved in a number of research-related projects such as the underrepresentation of women entrepreneurs and innovators in the IP system. She has also engaged in community outreach projects, collaborating with EPICentre, to launch EPICentre SpeakHER series in Law and Entrepreneurship where students were given the opportunity to interview prominent women company founders to discuss their experiences with the law and with lawyers. They also collaborated on a workshop with LTEC Lab: Is Data the New Oil? Professor Tawfik also teaches a course called Law and Entrepreneurship: the EPICentre Practicum, an experiential course where law students support early stage start-ups.
