Windsor Law LTEC Lab is launching an exciting new initiative: The Mentorship Program in Law, Intellectual Property and Technology. Our program is designed to build meaningful connections between Windsor Law students, alumni, legal and other professionals working at the intersection of law, technology and policy. The program supports students in exploring emerging legal fields, and aims to empower them as future legal professionals in navigating complex, tech-driven landscapes with integrity, critical thinking, and a drive to create positive systemic change. Students can gain personalized career advice, expansion of their professional network, and tips on entering the field of tech law and policy. 

 

Areas of law in which our mentors specialize include Cyberlaw, Copyright, Privacy, Trademarks, Patents, Intellectual Property, AI Governance, Information Systems and Technology, Communications Law, and Consumer Protection. 

 

The mentorship program runs from September to June. Mentees are selected through an application process, and successful applicants are paired with a mentor in their field of interest. Mentorship is flexible, and students can choose to indicate virtual or in-person preferences. We encourage all Windsor Law students to apply, but priority will be given to 2L and 3L applicants, as spaces are limited.
